#10) Local and Global Participatory Democracy (grassroots)
. This is already starting to happen with General Assemblies popping up across the United States and Global Movements coming together with local and online meetings striving towards consensus.
#9) Online Advisory Voting (grassroots)
. Create an online network, where everyone can vote on every issue, minimally as an advisory vote. Pretty Simple.
#8) Online Candidate Forums (grassroots)
. Initiate Online Candidate Forums (www.OnlineCandidateForums.info) at every level so that there is direct interactivity with all the candidates and the election process.
#7) Real Time Direct Representative Democracy (grassroots)
. Global system of direct representation and voting that all people can participate with throughout the world. Stems from the World Declaration of Interdependence that people have the right to directly represent themselves globally. (http://gep.wc.tc/Direct_Representation.html) (www.HumanitysEvolution.com) (www.LawByPeople.com/WDI)
#6) Citizen Budget Oversight Councils (grassroots)
. Form citizen councils of 5 people for every $5 million dollars. That’s direct oversight of every $1 million dollars per person spent of government money. That’s about 500 Citizen Budget Oversight Councils for the US Gov.
#5) Approved Voting (law change)
. Change plurality voting to Approved voting. Get rid of over-votes. Make it so that you vote for as many candidates as you want instead of only being able to vote for the popular media choice or your vote is worthless. This allows the foundation of a multi-party system and compromise within the voting process itself.
#4) Corporate & Business Parliament (law change)
. By creating direct representation for corporations and business, we can get rid of secret closed door lobbyists and have congress for the people, and the Business Parliament represent the corporations and businesses. The law is no taxation without representation. Corporations and businesses pay taxes, they should have representation too, and it shouldn’t be the same representation as people because they aren’t people.
#3) Online State & National Conventions (law change & grassroots)
. The foundation of the US Government and control of the US Constitution is in State Legislatures, State Conventions, and a National Convention. We as people do not use our power to initiate State & National Conventions, and with technology we can create online conventions for ongoing democratic participatory dialogue.
#2) Online Digital US Congress (law change)
. The first amendment to the constitution, the only part of the Bill of Rights never ratified, states that there can be no more than 50,000 people to every 1 representative in congress. Congress would have to have 6,247 representatives instead of 535 to meet this requirement. Yet with technology we can pass the 1st amendment to the constitution and amend it simultaneously to create an online digital congress for more direct representation of the people. 535 representing 3.1 million doesn’t work. This would meet our founding fathers original expectations of congress.
#1) Global Online Congress/Parliament (law change & grassroots)
. Bypass the UN General Assembly and UN Security Council and create a Global Congress and/or Parliament. This can be established through the World Declaration of Interdependence, as the people of the world have the right to directly represent themselves globally. With the ratio of 1 to 50,000 people, the size of the online representative body would be 139,326 representatives. With technology we can do that. 300 people in a general assembly with 5 veto votes in the security council cannot represent 7 billion people across the world. (www.LawByPeople.com/WDI)
